Goldendoodles require a moderate amount of exercise. They can live in the city or on a farm. They are social dogs and they are happiest when they are with people.
Most Goldendoodles shed very little or not at all, and Goldendoodles may not cause allergies. Goldendoodles are relatively low maintenance. The Goldendoodle requires little grooming, sometimes only some slight trimming around the eyes. However daily brushing is required to prevent matting.

The Goldendoodle's ancestry along both parent lines is as hunters and water dogs. The physical appearance of the Goldendoodle runs anywhere from a shaggy-looking retriever to a curl-relaxed poodle, but usually it falls somewhere in between. The length of the coat when left unclipped grows to about 4-8 inches.

They require a moderate amount of daily exercise. This can be in the form of walks or retrieving games. They also love swimming!
Goldendoodle Temperament
Their really isn't just one word to describe the Goldendoodle but if I could just pick one It would be "Gentle" Goldendoodles in general are Loving, Loyal, Highley Intelligent, Easy to train and very Family Oreinted. They are known for their Gentleness and eager to please which makes them the Ideal Family pet and Therapy dogs for everyone! The Goldendoodle is a very social dog and could become mischievous and destructive if they are left to spend most of their lives alone. Like the Golden Retriever the Goldendoodle is happiest when with people.
Goldendoodles can be taught to enjoy swmming, as both the Retriever and Poodle elements of their heritage narmally enjoy water. They love to play and commonly retain the strong retrieving instincts of the Golden Retriever. The Goldendoodle should not be trained as a watchdog as it is highly unlikely that they will respond to this type of aggression
Life Magazine in October 2004 described the Goldendoodles as the "Perfect Pet"
